Biography

Ms. Dixon has more than 40 years of professional engineer consulting experience in a range of leadership, project management, planning, design, and construction management roles, with specific emphasis on water resources and public works projects. Ms. Dixon served as Director of the Interstate Stream Commission (ISC) from March 2015 through May 2017 for the State of New Mexico. During that time she managed the affairs of ISC, including serving as liaison between nine Commissioners and its staff. The ISC has broad powers to investigate, protect, conserve, and develop New Mexico’s waters including both interstate and intrastate stream systems. Under Ms. Dixon’s leadership, New Mexico’s sixteen water regions identified and completed reports on water planning objectives and projects through 2060 to demonstrate stewardship and protection of New Mexico’s water resources.  As a PWRC Fellow, she currently provides technical collaboration and support between NMED and the Consortium and assists in public education and outreach and treatment technology testing evaluation protocols.
